When investigative filmmaker Sarah Hart arrives in Alice Springs to cover what are promised to be peaceful protests, she knows better than to trust the briefing. The desert remembers too much… and power rarely moves in daylight.
As tensions erupt and a single act of violence fractures the town’s fragile calm, Sarah’s camera captures something never meant to be seen. What follows is not just suppression, but erasure. Footage vanishes. Names repeat. And beneath the red dust, a far darker operation begins to surface… one tied to mining interests, federal authority, and places that officially do not exist.
Pulled into a tightening web of buried contracts, vanished people, and off-map sites, Sarah is forced to confront the cost of witnessing when truth itself becomes a threat. In a land where distance protects secrets and denial travels faster than justice, every decision carries weight… and every silence is deliberate.
Outbreak… Alice Springs is a relentless psychological thriller about power, protest, and the dangerous act of telling the truth when the ground itself is complicit.
