#2 in the Maisie Dobbs investigative series, this one has Maisie looking for the runaway adult daughter of a successful, self-made businessman. Maisie however finds links to three recent murders of young women and is worried this man's daughter may be in danger. Lots of people become suspects before the final solution is made clear.

Another mystery so skillfully written that the reader becomes immersed in trying to solve the crime right along side of Maisie Dobbs, all the while feeling like you have made a new friend.
