About the author
Carey Gillam is an investigative journalist and the author of Whitewash: The Story of a Weed Killer, Cancer, and the Corruption of Science, which won the Rachel Carson Book Award from the Society of Environmental Journalists and has become part of the curriculum in university environmental health programs. She is research director of the nonprofit consumer group U.S. Right to Know, and has spent more than twenty-five years reporting on corporate America, including seventeen years working for the Reuters international news agency.
