This is an excellent follow up to Damaged Goods. Erica Jensen is a fascinating character that still struggles with her own demons, most notably PTSD. The story revolves around Erica’s client being brutally murdered with Erica herself being implicated as the murderer. The whole tale is brilliant and hooked me from the start but it’s Erica herself with all of her nuances that are the real treat of the book. Debbi Mack shows that she understands people and the struggles that must be overcome to live useful lives. I have enjoyed both of these books immensely and hope the author is far from done with her great character.
