Julie Suk's legal scholarship clearly differentiates misogyny from patriarchy and explains how strong threads of misogyny remain in our legal and political culture even in a time after which institutionalized patriarchy has begun to diminish. I learned a lot from her. I also saw her speak at an event in New York, and she came across to me as a very balanced and intelligent scholar.
