Villain

They were both born with a gift for using people. They were both used for those gifts. Now they’re the only ones with the power to destroy each other… and the power to be one another’s salvation.

Krys can make anyone love her… whether they want to or not. It’s why the Psi Enhancement Research Initiative recruited her—a secret government program designed to study and control psychically gifted people like her. It’s how she was able to work against PERI from the inside for so long without being caught.

And it’s why she’s never truly connected with another human being in her life. How can she, when everyone has no choice but to worship her?

Nigel loves watching people bleed… hearing them scream… feeling their life slip away under his hands. He accepted a long time ago that he was a monster. Irredeemable. Until PERI came to him with a job offer.

Now he uses the evil inside him for the greater good. All he has to do is hurt the people PERI tells him to hurt.

When Krys is unmasked as a double agent, she’s not worried. She knows she can persuade her captors to let her go with nothing more than a smile. She didn’t count on them giving her to the one person who’s immune to her power.

Because everything Nigel loves, he wants to destroy. And as soon as he lays eyes on Krys, he can’t help but love her.
