About this ebook
A tiny dog takes on the big city!
Meet Max—a very special pup with a very important purpose. Featured in A Dog's Journey (now a major motion picture!), this heartwarming illustrated chapter book is a stellar addition to the wildly popular A Dog's Purpose Puppy Tales series by #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author W. Bruce Cameron. Perfect for middle-grade readers ages 8–12, it's a sweet, fast-paced tale about finding your family and learning when to be brave.
A Tiny New Yorker with a Big Heart
The moment he sets eyes on a girl named CJ, Max knows without a doubt that she is his human. He quickly figures out his life's purpose: to protect CJ and show her how to safely navigate the bustling streets of New York City.
As a proud native New Yorker, Max knows exactly how to take charge of a situation—even if he happens to be the smallest dog at the park! But life in the concrete jungle isn't just about acting tough. With CJ’s patient guidance, Max learns a valuable lesson: he doesn’t always have to be fierce and ferocious. Sometimes, letting his guard down to be "gentle Max" is the best way to open his heart and make lifelong friends.
