About this ebook

In a quiet forest where the morning light slipped softly through the leaves like golden ribbons, there lived a little crow named Kiro.

Kiro was not like the other birds.

While the sparrows woke early to sing together, and the doves cooed gently beside one another, Kiro preferred to sit alone on the tallest branch, fluffing his shiny black feathers and watching everyone else.

Not because he was shy.

Not because he was afraid.

But because Kiro believed something very important—at least, in his own small heart.

He believed that everything should be about him.

If the wind blew too hard, Kiro would complain loudly.

If the sun hid behind clouds, he would sulk and grumble.

And if his friends found something delicious to eat, he would hop over quickly and say, “That should be mine.”

The other animals didn’t hate Kiro.

They tried to understand him.

Little Piko the sparrow would often tilt her head and ask softly,

“Why don’t you share with us, Kiro?”

And Momo the squirrel, with cheeks full of nuts, would offer him one anyway, even when Kiro didn’t say thank you.

But Kiro never noticed their kindness.

Or maybe… he never truly felt it.

Because deep inside, hidden beneath all those glossy black feathers, there was a tiny feeling Kiro didn’t understand yet.

A feeling that made him restless.

A feeling that made him want more, and more, and more.

And sometimes… when the forest grew quiet at night, and the moon painted silver light across the trees, Kiro would sit alone on his branch and feel something strange.

Something he didn’t have a name for.

It wasn’t hunger.

It wasn’t anger.

It was something softer… and a little bit sad.

But as soon as morning came, Kiro would shake it away, spread his wings, and shout to the world,

“Everything is mine today!”

And the forest would sigh gently, as if it already knew—

Kiro still had a long journey ahead.

A journey filled with laughter, small mistakes, warm friendships…

…and a heart that was just beginning to learn how to love.
