About this ebook

Spring in Kentucky means fast horses, old money, and secrets that don't stay buried.

When the wealthy owner of a prestigious thoroughbred stable dies under "accidental" circumstances, podcaster Patsy Steffanelli smells something foul in Kentucky’s Bluegrass. But before she can fully unpack her suspicions, she crashes headfirst into a complication she never saw coming: the case already belongs to her younger sister (and Mama’s favorite) Loretta, brilliant, polished, and very much employed by the FBI.

According to Loretta, the case is federal business. According to Patsy, it’s a cold case begging for a microphone and a little old-fashioned snooping. What follows is a full-blown sister showdown complete with family tension, competitive sleuthing, and Mama caught smack in the middle.

But the deeper Patsy digs into the world of thoroughbred racing, the clearer it becomes that Colts Crossing isn’t just hiding one secret. And someone is determined to keep it that way.

Can Patsy solve the mystery before her sister beats her to the truth? Or will this family rivalry turn deadly before the finish line?

Patsy, Hondo, Mattie and Goldie meet the Alaskan wilderness, what could go wrong? Let's just hope Goldie doesn't fall in love with a wolf or go up against a grizzly bear to protect her family. But knowing that loveable fur ball, she probably will do just that Great series from one of the world's best mystery fun authors.
