Winter Whispers on the Riviera: The BRAND NEW festive, escapist romance from Jennifer Bohnet for 2026

Mellissa Knight thought she had a happy life in Devon—until Geoff, her husband of twenty-five years announces he’s off to take the gap year he never had. Within days, he’s gone. Reeling, Mel seizes an unexpected chance to house-sit in Antibes on the French Riviera, hoping distance might bring clarity.

Evie Sampson, an American journalist named after her great-grandmother Evelyn, arrives with a purpose. Evelyn was a war correspondent in Antibes at the end of 1945, and the journal she left behind draws Evie into the past—and deeper into the town’s hidden stories.

Brigitte Tautou, a lifelong Antibes resident and owner of Vintage Vignettes, feels stuck. At 56, she’s back under the roof of her overbearing mother, wondering if life still holds surprises—perhaps even love.

When their paths cross, these three very different women form an unlikely bond. As old secrets surface and present-day struggles collide, their friendship begins to reshape their futures in ways none of them expected.

A wonderfully, warm and enchanting tale of new beginnings, second chances and seizing the moment.
