Classic Retellings – Animal Farm: A Retelling

Days before his death, old Major the pig ignites the flames of rebellion among the animals of Manor Farm, where Mr Jones rules with cruelty and neglect. Led by pigs Napoleon and Snowball, the farm animals unite to overthrow their human owners and reclaim their freedom. Although they envision a society built on equality and shared labour, as time passes and the pigs consolidate their newfound power, the line between liberators and tyrants becomes increasingly blurred.
