About this ebook
A dutiful young maiden gives herself into the hands of a monster, fully expecting to die.
She does it because she knows firsthand the terrible cost of disobedience. She does it because death is what she deserves after the things she’s done.
But instead of ripping her to pieces, her captor showers her with luxuries—fine gowns, extravagant feasts, and the library of her dreams. He asks for only one thing in return: her perfect obedience.
She has no doubt she can meet his demand. She’s spent her life controlling her rebellious heart and its dark desires.
She underestimates him.
How fortunate for her that her captor has also underestimated her.
The beast inside her has been waiting all her life for an excuse to break its chains. And although her captor doesn’t know it, he’s been craving a captive who can match him trick for trick, blow for blow, blood for blood.
Obedience? What fun is that?
There are two monsters in the beast’s enchanted castle. And in their dark game, only one can survive.
