Holy Rollers

A stolen RV. A million-dollar ministry. And a megachurch hiding a secret in plain sight.

When Florida private investigator Gumbo Malone receives a call from a church member who thinks her donated motorhome has disappeared, the case seems like a misunderstanding. After all, the RV was given to a ministry program dedicated to outreach, disaster relief, and helping communities in need.

Then Gumbo finds the RV.

It's parked hundreds of miles away as part of a luxury vacation rental package generating thousands of dollars a week.

What begins as a missing RV investigation quickly uncovers a sprawling network of shell companies, vacation rentals, timeshare schemes, and a church outreach program being used as cover for a sophisticated operation worth nearly a million dollars a year.

At the center of it all is Kyle Shores, the charismatic son of a beloved Florida pastor. Charming, ambitious, and gifted at making people trust him, Kyle has built a machine that thrives on faith, goodwill, and donated assets. The question isn't whether the fraud exists.

The question is who knew about it.

To uncover the truth, Gumbo infiltrates a church grief support group, where he encounters people struggling with loss, regret, forgiveness, and second chances. As the investigation deepens, the line between professional duty and personal reflection begins to blur. The case forces Gumbo to confront his own unresolved grief while searching for answers that could destroy a congregation, devastate families, and expose a betrayal years in the making.

Filled with colorful Florida characters, sharp humor, memorable dialogue, unexpected twists, and the unique charm of the Gulf Coast, HOLY ROLLERS is a compelling mystery about faith, family, trust, and the dangers of believing the wrong person for the right reasons.
