About this ebook

Darkest Obsession is a spicy BWWM dark romance about sworn enemies on a boarding college campus — a talented hip-hop dancer and an English billionaire.

Clover Robinson came to an elite boarding college to escape her past — not to become the center of every rumor on campus. When a ruthless, tattooed crew captain sets his sights on her, walking away isn’t an option.

Thomas Bainbridge is danger wrapped in privilege: cold, obsessive, and used to taking what he wants. Clover challenges him in a way no woman ever has.

Their clash ignites a volatile enemies-to-lovers spiral filled with jealousy, secrets, and an unhinged mutual attraction.

As whispers about Clover’s reputation grow and the school’s power games turn darker, Thomas’s fixation shifts from torture to tortured yearning.

He did everything in his power to ruin her before… can she trust or love the same man now?

Tropes in this story: Dark romance. Touch-her-and-die hero. Possessive bad boy. Black female lead. Interracial boarding college drama. New adult romance. Enemies to lovers. Grumpy/sunshine trope. Elements of a bully romance.

Overall, this was a good book, and I enjoyed the storyline. It felt like watching a murder mystery unfold in the middle of teen angst and coming of age, with secret boyfriends, being new to a country and not sounding or looking like everyone else, and the tension between the wealthy aristocrats and the scholarship students. The juxtaposition kept things interesting. If you like dark romance with plenty of drama and don't mind some intense scenes, this one is worth picking up.

Jamila Jasper knows how to create characters you can’t help but root for. Definitely recommend if you love a passionate romance with plenty of drama. I really enjoyed the overall storyline of Darkest Obsession! The contrast between wealthy aristocrats and scholarship outsiders created a tense backdrop, and watching a murder mystery unravel amid secret relationships and culture shock kept the pages turning. The main couple definitely tested my patience early on—they both had toxic ideas of love, and their relationship felt like a trainwreck at first. Watching them slowly realize that love shouldn't hurt or need to be a public show was satisfy
