I only wanted to hide for a minute, honestly. I didn’t mean to get stuck in the guest berth and fall asleep and now we’re somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean and – actually that’s a cool way to avoid another confrontation with my father. So, I might have been a little economical with the truth when I explained the trouble I was in.

But now I’m in even more trouble. This guy, calls himself Damir, is giving me mafia vibes (but probably I’ve just been reading too many books). He’s hotter than all get-out, used to being in charge and I can’t help provoking him to anger – and yeah, some other stuff. Is it bad if we kiss? More?

Then it turns out he does have a connection to my dad and nobody’s going to like that I’m here.

I cannot deal with a stowaway right now. I need peace and quiet and the open water to unpack some of the worst months of my life and work out what I’m going to do now. But Giovanna, she’s got a wild tongue and a reckless spirit and every time she opens her mouth I want to kiss her. But she’s running from something and she won’t accept my help.

Out here alone on the water, it’s hard to resist what she does to me. But then I find out who she really is and the impossible position she’s put me in.
