About this ebook

A compelling story of one family's determination to save their grumpy old horse against all odds.

The Baker family bought Denver to be a family horse, and he took care of their children for several years as well as he could. So when, in a freak trailer accident, Denver injured himself badly, the family was upset.

Denver's girl, Tessa, was devastated.

Sadly, his injury was difficult to diagnose, and once they finally figured out what was wrong, it was so rare that it didn't really have an established treatment. The vets suggested the Bakers put him down, since he was old, and frankly, not so great. He hadn't been expnsive, and the experimental treatment they thought might save him was risky, long term, and expensive.

The Baker family decided to take a gamble on their beloved horse anyway.

The decision changed all their lives, and it blessed them in ways they never expected. Join Denver and Bridget as they tell the story from dual POVs. It will break your heart, but it will heal it again and then some.

I really enjoyed this book by B.E. Baker. I have followed her on Facebook for a few years so I had heard Denver’s story before, but the way she chose to tell the story this time was very creative. Denver has his own POV and Baker had done a great job of giving him his own voice and creative ways a horse might think. I’m not a horse girl (I mean I enjoyed riding a few times when I was younger but hadn’t been around horses in a long time and I’m okay with that) but I did enjoy this story.

About the author

Bridget’s a lawyer, but does as little legal work as possible. She has five kids and soooo many animals that she loses count. There are for sure lots of horses, dogs, cats, and so many chickens. Animals are her great love, after the hubby, the kids, and the books. She makes cookies waaaaay too often and believes they should be their own food group. In an attempt at balancing the scales, she kick boxes daily. So if you don’t like her books, maybe don’t tell her in person.

Bridget’s active on social media, and has a Facebook group she comments in often called Bridget E Baker's Binge Reader Recovery. (Her husband even gets on there sometimes.) Please feel free to join her! Or you can get a free book by signing up for her newsletter on her website at www.BridgetEBakerWrites.com
