The Caretaker

I came here to escape. To leave behind both the stalker who turned my life into a nightmare and my controlling mother who seemed to think I was in the wrong.

A teaching job in a quiet village school was supposed to be my fresh start, but the school isn’t what it promised. The headteacher watches my every move - manipulates and criticises - the old caretaker always seems to be there when something happens, but worse than that...

I think my stalker is back!

Then two young girls disappear without a trace. The police search for someone close to home, but I know they are looking in the wrong direction.

Because I know who the kidnapper is.

I thought I had escaped my past.

I never imagined it was coming for me.

And I have said nothing , because I am guilty as hell...
