About this ebook
L. J. Smith, New York Times bestselling author of The Vampire Diaries and the inspiration for the massively popular TV show from CW, returns to her thrilling Secret Circle series in this fifth installation, with a dangerously exciting tale of love, witchcraft, and the supernatural.
Cassie's life is far from ordinary. Her best friends are a coven of witches and her relationship with her boyfriend, Adam, is written in the stars. As the leader of the Secret Circle, it is up to her to keep them safe.
But then Cassie's evil half sister surfaces, determined to take Cassie's place in the Secret Circle. And a band of powerful witch-hunters begins targeting the group, determined to destroy them. Will the circle remain intact despite the powerfully evil magic that has infiltrated their ring? And will Cassie survive this ultimate battle between good and evil?
- Fated Mates Romance: Cassie and Adam were destined to be together, but what happens when her evil sister claims a soulmate bond with him, too?
- An Evil Sister Rivalry: Cassie’s half sister Scarlett won’t just stop at taking her place in the coven—she wants her magic, her power, and her life.
- Ancient Witch Hunters: A ruthless band of hunters is marking the coven members one by one for a deadly killing curse, and time is running out to stop them.
- Tempting Dark Magic: To save her friends, Cassie must embrace her father’s forbidden Book of Shadows, a cursed grimoire that threatens to consume her with its power.

I've never read this series, but, i'm still wondering when in the world she'll be letting her readers from the night world allow us the FINAL book? for crying out loud she started the first chapter of book 10 at the end of book 9 as a sneak peak. it's EXTREMELY frustrating for those who've waited over 20 years for that darn book.... PLEASE L.J. SMITH CAN U PLEASE FINALLY RELEASE IT? CAN SOMEONE PLEASE SEND HER THIS MESSAGE... It's become tedious waiting, pleeeeeaaaaaase can we get book 10 of The Night World?

I enjoyed The Secret Circle- The Hunt. It felt more exciting than the first book because the stakes were higher and there was a lot more tension between the characters. The mix of magic, secrets, and drama kept me interested the whole time, and I found myself wanting to keep reading to see what would happen next. One thing I liked was how the relationships within the Circle became more complicated, with all the rivalry and trust issues.

I personally don't like the under descriptive and child like writing of L J Smith and when I realised she was not the written I this book and the one before I was frankly quiet happy. I understand this is targeted at teen reading level but found L J Smith's books a horrible read. Great concepts and decent story line tarnished but low writing skills.
