About this ebook

New York Times bestselling author Ben Shapiro’s new novel asks how close are we to our country’s collapse—and will we be able to stop it once it begins?
America is coming apart. An illegal immigration crisis has broken out along America's Southern border—there are race riots in Detroit—a fiery female rancher-turned-militia leader has vowed revenge on the president for his arrogant policies—and the world's most notorious terrorist is planning a massive attack that could destroy the United States as we know it. Meanwhile the President is too consumed by legacy-seeking to see our country’s deep peril.

Brett Hawthorne is the youngest general in the United States Army—and he’s stuck, alone, behind enemy lines in Afghanistan. He’s the last lost soldier of a failed war, fighting to stay alive and make it back home—but will he be able to stop the collapse of America in time?

After watching George W. Bush's colonoscopy I was wondering if there was anything more disturbing or hollow. Thank you Ben Shapiro for filling that void by making a much larger void. I don't know how would have been able to get out of bed tomorrow if I didn't know how evil everyone else was. It's a good thing I watch Fox News, because if I didn't I would be part of the problem too.

It's refreshing to see a book that doesn't end with happy ever after. I do have some complaints though. The book is highly politicized, and I feel that may turn some people off. Ben Shapiro is my favorite political commentator and for his first dabble in fiction, it's pretty good. I demand an encore.

Went into the book knowing who wrote it, and promptly ignoring it. Book's pretty good, for a first time author of the genre its a great entry imo. Alot of the criticisms against it are frankly just because its ben shapiro who wrote it. The writing, grammar, and formattimg was acceptable, at the very least i didnt notice anything in the version i got that was truly beyond the pale. The characters are relatively straightforward, with a little bit of nuance. Some of the commentary will likely be a bit too on the nose especially for those who lean further left than most. The allegations about characters being racial profiles is dumb in the full context of the story and history, the only iffy one is about a particularly beefy boi on the football team. That was just bad choice and wordplay on Bens part. Pretty much any other allegation you'll see is either nitpicking and exagerrating to try and prevent sales, or just from the characters being older and recollecting realistic childhoods.
