I really like the concept of the Red Lanterns and I'm glad that this comic shows them in a better light. Atrocitus has a tragic backstory and is consumed by his rage, but he empathizes with James Kim, which causes Atrocitus to defend James Kim against the Spectre. I like it when they show villains as not all bad. Atrocitus doesn't hurt people for his own pleasure, he's a broken man and he can empathize with another broken man that's consumed by rage. I really hope to see Atrocitus, Dex-starr, and the other Red Lanterns in more heroic roles in the future, they could be great anti-heroes.
