Kelso Franks had been sent by the Shifter Council to find out who at Raines Holding was involved with capturing shifters to be sold to the highest bidder. He was sick of needing to rescue men, women, and children who’d been forced to work themselves to death in conditions that left them with little hope of ever escaping or burying the ones that hadn’t survived. He would do whatever it took to stop the humans from attacking shifters. Or so he thought. What he hadn’t expected was for one of the humans suspected of being behind this heinous act to be his mate.
Would fate really give Kelso a mate who would treat shifters as if they were nothing more than their animal half? Fearing the worst, Kelso has to decide if can trust the one person in the world that was meant to be his. If Fiske was guilty, would Kelso be able to hand his mate over to the Council, knowing it would be a death sentence or will he take his mate and run?
