About this ebook

A former Navy SEAL. A single mother in hiding. A danger that won’t let go.

Garrison “Demo” Holt left the military behind, determined to build a quieter life helping troubled teens. But when danger appears next door, he’s pulled back into a role he knows all too well—protector.

Katelyn Ellis has spent years keeping her son safe by staying invisible. Because the people she’s hiding from don’t forget.

And they don’t forgive.

When a powerful coastal storm destroys the safety she’s worked so hard to build, Katelyn is forced to trust Garrison—the one man willing to stand between her and the growing threat.

As the danger escalates, Garrison must rely on every skill he swore he’d never use again.

Because protecting Katelyn and her son isn’t optional.

It’s everything.

A Christian romantic suspense featuring a protective hero, a single mom on the run, high-stakes danger, and a powerful journey of faith and redemption.

This was such a fun read! I literally laughed out loud a few times, and spent nearly the entire book grinning as I read. I loved the characters in this one. Garrison's heart for the teens is absolutely precious, and I loved seeing him and his team step up to lend a hand when needed! Such a beautiful story, and the messages of faith, family, and healing were very well done!

About the author

I’m Jessica Ashley, and I am a three-time award winning author of faith-filled stories where swoony romance meets edge-of-your-seat suspense.

My goal is simple: to remind readers that even in the darkest moments, God’s love shines through with hope, healing, and redemption.

I believe fiction has the power not just to entertain but to transform. Growing up, I saw how stories of faith and love could bring hope. So I pour this experience into the stories I write where characters face real danger—literal or emotional—but through faith, love, and courage, they emerge changed.

When I’m not writing, I’m homeschooling my three kids, baking homemade bread, or sneaking in quiet moments with my husband in our Texas home.

My stories are clean, heartfelt, and written to inspire. Because I believe fiction should stir the heart, strengthen faith, and leave you with a smile.
