About this ebook

Sieges, betrayals, and a vow to Robert the Bruce. A knight becomes Scotland’s blade.

January 1308. Under a sky of iron and snow, Thomas Randolph rides into English-held Aberdeen with a single promise burned into his bones: prove his loyalty to Robert the Bruce or die trying. A clandestine council in the shadow of an enemy fortress. A midnight ladder over an icy moat. Chains screaming as a portcullis rises. From the brutal capture of Aberdeen Castle to the thunder of hooves in the Pass of Brander, Thomas becomes the blade King Robert needs, swift and relentless.

In halls warmed by peat fires and vows, love sparks where war would snuff it out. A ring, a promise, a wedding feast swirling in music and wine, then a parting at dawn. While King Robert wrestles with mercy for those who once dragged his queen and child from holy ground, Thomas navigates councils, sieges, and the perilous dance of Scottish clans: MacDougall pride, Campbell blood-feuds, and the Earl of Ross’s bitter reckoning. From Dunstaffnage Castle’s shattered gates to a parliament blazing with banners, a crown is reforged not at the pope’s word, but at the edge of the blade and the will of a people who refuse to kneel.

Ravaged Lands plunges readers into the mud, smoke, and marrow-deep loyalties of the First War of Scottish Independence, where mercy is a blade as sharp as steel and midnight raids can decide a kingdom.

Perfect for readers of Bernard Cornwell, Conn Iggulden, and Robert Low. Buy now and rejoin the fight for Scotland's freedom.
