KNOWLEDGE OF THE HOLY: A 21st Century Update of A. W. Tozer
About this ebook
Known as the author of the Christian classic The Knowledge of the Holy, Tozer’s work has influenced millions of believers across the world. This updated edition brings his powerful message into the 21st century — preserving his core teaching while adapting the language for today’s readers.
This is not a reprint of A. W. Tozer’s original book.
More than sixty years have passed since Tozer first wrote The Knowledge of the Holy. While his message remains as powerful and relevant as ever, the style and language now feel dated to modern readers.
This edition is a 21st-century update of Tozer’s classic. I have kept his core message and passionate call to know God rightly intact, while rewriting much of the content and language for today’s world. The heart of the book — developing a high and holy view of God — is just as needed now as it was in Tozer’s day.
Wherever possible, I have maintained Tozer’s earnest and compelling style. However, chapter titles and much of the content have been rewritten to reflect how a believer living in the twenty-first century would apply these life-changing truths.
My prayer is that this updated edition will stir up a new generation of Christians to truly know the greatness and glory of God.

About the author
A. W. Tozer (1897–1963) was an American pastor, author, and editor whose writings have profoundly shaped modern evangelical Christianity. Known for his deep reverence for God, piercing spiritual insight, and urgent call to holy living, Tozer challenged believers to move beyond shallow religion and pursue a life of genuine worship, obedience, and devotion. Though largely self-taught, he became one of the most respected Christian voices of the twentieth century. His best-known works, including The Pursuit of God and The Knowledge of the Holy, continue to call readers to a higher view of God and a deeper walk with Christ.
