When an heiress drowns in a hotel pool, Conan and Sera are on the scene to dredge up the truth. Then a screenwriter is found dead in a scenario straight out of one of her mystery scripts. And Conan and Harley investigate a mythical beast that seems to be committing very real murders.

Everything about this series is great!! I love Case Closed(Detective Conan), but I wish that Viz would just drop the forced American names already. This ain't 2004 and we don't need to be talked down to like this anymore. And they only changed the names of some of the main characters, rather than ALL of them like the Funimation dub, making this change completely pointless. Viz has released enough volumes of Case Closed, so I hope it gets a 3-in-1 series to make it much more accessible like One Piece. it'll be the perfect opportunity to restore the Americanized characters to their proper Japanese names, like the new Case Closed dub produced by Bang Zoom(E.g. Jimmy Kudo to Shinichi Kudo, Rachel Moore to Ran Mouri, Amy to Ayumi, George to Genta, Harley Hartwell to Heiji Hattori, Serena Sebastian to Sonoko Suzuki, Mitch to Mitsuhiko, Richard Moore to Kogoro Mouri, and Anita Hailey to Ai Haibara).

About the author

Gosho Aoyama made his debut in 1986 with Chotto Mattete (Wait a Minute), which won Shogakukan’s prestigious Shinjin Comic Taisho (Newcomer’s Award for Comics) and launched his career as a critically acclaimed, top-selling manga artist. In addition to Case Closed, which won the Shogakukan Manga Award in 2001, Aoyama created the popular manga Yaiba: Samurai Legend, which won the Shogakukan Manga Award in 1992. Aoyama’s manga is greatly influenced by his boyhood love for mystery, adventure, and baseball, and he has cited the tales of Arsène Lupin and Sherlock Holmes, along with the samurai films of Akira Kurosawa, as some of his childhood favorites.
