About the author

Federigo Tozzi (1883–1920) was an Italian novelist who died at thirty-six, leaving behind a small body of work of extraordinary psychological force. Tre croci (Three Crosses, 1920), published in the year of his death, is his masterpiece — a pitiless study of three brothers destroyed by greed, weakness, and self-deception.

Haberdash Books is dedicated to bringing overlooked works of European and world literature into English. We specialise in nineteenth and early twentieth-century fiction from lesser-translated languages and traditions.
