Short Description:

In the sleepless heart of Manhattan, barista Nora Stewart survives on exhaustion, debt, and emotional numbness—until the day she begins seeing the creatures feeding on the city’s ambition.

Invisible to everyone else, the shadowy parasites cling to traders, interns, artists, and dreamers, draining their hope while Wall Street thrives above them. As people around her begin collapsing into hollow shells, Nora discovers a terrifying truth: the American Dream is not a promise—it is a feeding system.

And somehow, the monsters cannot touch her.

Guided by the cryptic warnings of a broken subway prophet and the secrets left behind by her dead father, Nora is pulled into a hidden war beneath New York’s financial empire. To survive, she must protect the one thing the creatures hunger for most: human hope.

But in a city built on ambition, staying empty may be the only way to stay alive.
