I choose the bear. Matthias is a large bear shifter who has been trying his best not scare away his fated mate, Maisy. He has done such a great job that Maisy thinks Matthias cannot stand her. I enjoyed this sweet read and dived into this second book with zero issues catching up. What I enjoy about Renee Rose books is that the characters are realistic. Yes, even if they are a shifter. None of them are perfect. They all have flaws that make them more human and relatable.

Unlike some of the other reviewers, I actually thought Matthias was very romantic. He said sweet things to her, treated her wonderfully, took care of her, and dressed her in beautiful clothes and diamonds. Even their bedroom scenes were a fantastic mixture of spicy and romance. They had great chemistry, and I actually thought they were well balanced. Very enjoyable. I can't wait for book three.
