I Love the way this book started. I did like the Violet characters begging it made you feel that this girl was just going to grow and prove she was a strong female character.... but she pretty much ended the book the way she started. there was not much growth in her character. Personally i could not see what would make her this strong Heroine. The book is a bit too long for me and at times you loose track of what you are reading, i found it hard to keep focus and at times to not give up on the book .Don't get me wrong the book was good( on the parts that were not too confusing and just over extended)and the ending made me wish i had not gotten bored with it, and that maybe you got to know more about the relationship with the other characters.

I liked the romance between Kaspar. But the author just dropped out too many characters. They gradually became less and less involved. Violet also cried way too much. I'm hoping there's a third book which will give the dropped characters more involvement and more romance. All in all a pretty good book.

I love the book, it just ticks me off on how it jst ended without explaining the vampire transformation, the meeting that was supposed to happen in 2 wks, if they got married, had kids ect. I also wanna know about fabian && his lover! Im mad that book 2 wasnt a continuation of their story but from autumns side. Lets hope #3 picks up the peices!

About the author

Abigail Gibbs was born and raised in deepest, darkest Devon, England. She is studying for a B.A. in English at the University of Oxford and considers herself a professional student, as the real world has yet to catch up with her. Her greatest fear is blood and she is a great advocate of vegetarianism, which logically led to the writing of her first novel, The Dark Heroine: Dinner with a Vampire. She splits her time between her studies, stories, and family, and uses coffee to survive all three.
