About this ebook

She’s the centuries old feline shifter out for revenge. He’s the vampire assassin standing in her way.

My warlock ex-lover leaves me a bloody heart every year on my birthday. Trust me when I say this isn’t a romantic gesture. Also, he tortured and imprisoned me for almost a year. Ten out of ten, do not recommend.

I’ve spent most of my centuries of existence hunting down my enemies, but he’s the one I can never find… until the vampires and warlocks roll into my town at his behest.

He wants me back. I want him dead. There is one card I’ve never played. Dark, forbidden magic pumps through my veins. If I embrace it, I could end him… and paint a target on my back throughout the realms.

The life-altering decision isn’t my only problem. Mikhail has come to town. The infamous vampire assassin himself.

And he’s here for me.

A Shift in Shadows is the first, thrilling urban fantasy romance book in the Lost Legacies series. Perfect for fans of stabby, morally grey FMC’s, epic banter, and slow burn rivals to lovers romances.

About the author

Maddox Grey is a queer nonbinary elder millennial who still remembers vividly what it was like to be emotionally damaged by the season two finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. They write morally grey characters who fall for equally unhinged morally grey love interests in stories full of action and banter. Also expect supernatural cats to show up in basically every story. When they're not putting their characters through hell, Maddox is playing video games, reading smut, burying their nose in comic books, or hiding behind a pillow while they watch horror movies.
