Three exciting science fiction stories with a nod to horror classics such as Alien, Dracula, and The Wolfman.

Dance of the Dead: Vampires & War by Natasha Duncan-Drake

Jagati has seen more battlefields than she can count over the centuries. She and her team move from war to war, doing what they can for the living and bringing peace to the dying. On an alien world she is about to encounter something new, even to her.

Dark Celebration by Sophie Duncan

Mina has only been an Ensign Navigator on the interstellar cruiser, Queen Elizabeth VI, for two weeks, so everything is exciting and new. She counts herself lucky to have been assigned to the same ship as her little brother, Alistair, and she doesn’t want to do anything to jeopardize their posting. It’s an easy mission, a charter flight to Aurelia Prime to celebrate the primeversary of the discovery of Carbon Prime, the reason everyone can travel between the stars.

Yet something is not right and Mina senses the wrongness. That feeling is confirmed when one of the descendants of the pioneers who discovered the miracle fuel is found dead in her cabin, frozen to death by a coolant leak. At least, that is what their leaders are saying. Mina doesn’t believe it. It must be something to do with the strange, impenetrable vessel encased completely in Carbon Prime that has suddenly appeared in their path and is now shadowing them to Aurelia Prime?

No longer trusting the superiors who only seem interested in their glorious history, Mina and Alistair look to lower ranks to investigate what is really going on. Something is bad in the history of Aurelia Prime; something is missing from the official records. Can Mina find out what it is in time to save all on board the QE VI?

Find out in Dark Celebration, this thrilling science fiction horror mystery short story.

Wolf Blue: New Place, New Pack by Natasha Duncan-Drake

Born a slave in the Lof mines, Blue knows only chains and survival, until a mysterious warrior offers him a chance at freedom. To join the Wolf Guard and fight the Valan Empire, Blue must risk everything. But freedom has a price. Will he pay it or remain a pawn in someone else's war?

Grab your copy now and discover Blue’s fate.

About the author

Sophie has been hopelessly addicted to scribbling her imaginings onto paper since she was in primary school. She suspected she was different when her friends wrote a page for their story assignments and she handed in twenty :). Since then, the addiction has only grown worse and eventually it had to spill into the professional domain.

Growing up adoring fairy tales from Hans Christian Andersen to Neil Gaiman, Sophie enjoys writing fantasy and science fiction, with a side of horror from time to time. A penchant for crime drama also slips its way into her stories as well.

Sophie is a twin and her sister, Tasha (Natasha Duncan-Drake), shares the writing bug. Together, they run Wittegen Press, an eBook publisher of genre fiction.

Natasha is a British author living with her husband in the SE of England. She has been publishing genre fiction with Wittegen Press since 2011. Her work includes everything from horror to YA fantasy, and she has never met a genre she didn’t like. A prolific producer of short stories and novels alike, Natasha currently has a large back catalogue with further releases always imminent.

Natasha was inspired to start writing way back as a pre-teen after she read The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. She is a big fan of sci-fi, fantasy, and horror in all forms, and is a big advocate of fanfiction as a great tool for writers to polish their skills in a welcoming and supportive community.

And if you enjoy your fiction on the naughtier side, check out Natasha's alter ego, Virginia Waytes, her Sexy Stories Podcast on all your favourite podcast sites, and the books that go with it. The Manor is an adult only club in the heart of the English countryside where supernatural beings live, work, and play.
