Just Stand: What to Do When You Want to Give Up

In Just Stand, Kris Vallotton speaks with clarity, conviction, and compassion as he leads you into a life-sustaining truth: the God of mercy and grace invites you to come to the place where your weakness meets His divine strength—no matter what you’re facing or what’s unfolding in the world around you.

None of us is exempt from stress, loss, and perplexing situations. It is easy to feel like we just want to give up. But in the midst of it all, we are called to Just Stand. Ephesians 6:13–14 says, “...that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore....”

“Just standing” doesn’t mean gritting your teeth, striving harder, or pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps (although, in fairness, there still may be some days like that). It means anchoring your heart in God and understanding that He’s not finished writing your story.

In this book, you’ll discover how to:

• Undergo true metamorphosis instead of just moving through transition

• Let go of the weights that are holding you back

• Build life-giving ecosystems that support real change

• Fail forward and learn to get back up again after disobedience

• Walk wisely with prophetic words so they will come to pass

• Stand strong for your own breakthroughs and as a light in a world that desperately needs hope

Often, the darkest seasons of our lives are cocoons: environments that give birth to a radical transformation in and through us. This book reveals practical wisdom for navigating these epoch seasons with grace so that the darkness does not overtake us. Just Stand is full of down-to-earth wisdom, inspiring stories, and heavenly insights to equip you with the tools you need to lead a vibrant and noble life of purpose.
