I've read the IDW Transformers comics. The various storylines featuring the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons were well drawn and brought excitement and new adventures. Some were bold, the All Hail Megatron series was my favorite because it told the story of the Autobots losing and one of the many deaths of Optimus Prime. This first issue is a shocker. It's brutal and the art is gritty. The first few pages are reminiscent of the 1986 movie. So far, the first issue has left me wanting to read more issues. The writing is good and the art matches it's grittiness. Just keep it coming. This issue is a reminder that G1 is eternal. It effects us tremendously as kids with the cartoon and toys.

As a big Transformers fan this is amazing I always wanted to get into the comics and if your not a Transformers fan this would be great to read and you don't really need to know anything about TF to read
