Conquering Crisis by Admiral McRaven is a powerful reminder that true leadership is defined not in calm, but in chaos. As an educator and veteran, I connected deeply with his message: in moments of crisis, we don’t rise to the occasion—we fall to the level of our training. In education, we face daily storms—academic setbacks, staffing challenges, community pressures—and this book offers a blueprint for navigating them with clarity, calm, and conviction. McRaven’s lessons on preparation, decisive action, and servant leadership are directly applicable to school and district leadership. Whether you're leading a campus or shaping a system, this book reinforces a simple truth: crisis is not the end. It’s the beginning of courageous leadership.
