About this ebook

Her lifelong dream is in sight, but does a new--and better--future await in Hope Harbor?

Katherine Parker is on the cusp of having everything she ever wanted: fame, money, and acclaim. So why isn't she happy? In search of answers, she comes incognito to Hope Harbor on the Oregon coast for some R&R. Maybe in her secluded rental house overlooking the serene Pacific she'll be able to calm the storm inside.

Coffee shop owner Zach Garrett has found his niche after a traumatic loss--and he has no plans to change the life he's created. Nor does he want to get involved with his reticent new neighbor, whose past is shrouded in mystery. But when Katherine and Zach are recruited to help rehab a home for foster children, sparks fly.

As their lives begin to intersect, might they find more common ground than they expected . . . and discover that, with love, all things are possible?

Come home to Hope Harbor--where hearts heal . . . and love blooms.

Blackberry Beach by Irene Hannon is the 7th A Hope Harbor Novel. It can be read as a standalone for those new to the series. I did find Blackberry Beach to be a slow starter. I had a difficult time getting into the story. I think it would have been beneficial if the reason for Katherine being in Hope Harbor had been revealed earlier. Once I was about halfway through, I found the tale more appealing and my interest began to be engaged. I enjoyed the descriptions of the beach, the town, and Katherine’s chocolate creations. Hope Harbor is a charming town with friendly residents. I especially liked Charley and the seagulls (Floyd and Gladys). I appreciated the epilogue which nicely wrapped up the storylines. This is a nice, clean Christian romance (no intimate situations or bad language). Three of the themes in Blackberry Beach of second chances, forgiveness, and redemption. It was great that there was a later in life romance (gives me hope). This is a Christian tale that is never preachy. I like how the author incorporated Faith and God into the story. Blackberry Beach is a good book to read while relaxing by the pool.

Book 7 of the Hope Harbor series and Irene Hannon is still going strong! This series is one of those that just gets under your skin in the best way. I thoroughly enjoyed returning to the town of Hope Harbor and visiting old friends. Hannon has done a wonderful job creating not just a town, but a community. It made me smile when Floyd, Gladys, and friends reappeared and though I've never had a fish taco before, I imagine Charlie's are the best. Katherine and Zach's relationship felt neither rushed nor forced, and I really enjoyed watching it progress. Combined with a host of wonderful supporting characters, this story will draw you in and have you planning a beachside trip to Oregon. Faith filled, refreshing and fun, Blackberry Beach can be read as a stand alone but I suggest you don't miss out...read the whole series! *I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own and I was not compensated in any way.

Blackberry Beach Hope Harbor #7 By Irene Hannon Kat is hiding, she's about to get the breakthrough that will make her career everything she's ever dreamed about. There is just one problem she's no longer sure that she wants it all. Success yes but the stress and expectations not too great especially when she gets caught up in rumors and scandal. She needs to determine just what she wants and what she is willing to give up to get it. Hope Harbor may give her the chance she needs to determine her future. Zach Garrett is intrigued by the mystery woman who has entered his coffee shop. She's his newest neighbor and even though she tries to deny it there is a connection between them. Zach knows just where Kat is coming from having once been on the career fast-track to success. Blackberry Beach is a clean-read and the reader finds themself in Hope Habor, Oregon, either reacquainting themselves with the fine folk who call the area home or meeting them for the first time. It is always a treat whenever Charley or Floyd and Gladys are in a scene. Charley always has a bit of wisdom to share, who wouldn't want a Charley Lopez in their life ready with a listening ear or a word of encouragement. I think what I like best about the Hope Harbor books is that though they are all in a series they are a complete story in and of themselves. This book, like the others in the series, is about second chances at living the life we are meant to live, of finding love and reconciling with family. Get ready to head to the beach with Blackberry Beach and sit back and sit a spell. I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion. All thoughts expressed are my own.
