About this ebook

Is God nonbinary? What does the Bible actually say about God's nature, gender, and identity?

In a culture where questions about gender and identity are everywhere, Christians are increasingly asking questions they may never have considered before: If God is spirit, is God male? Why does the Bible call God “He”? Does Scripture ever describe God like a mother? What about the Holy Spirit? And can modern ideas about gender and identity really be applied to God?

Is God Nonbinary? takes these questions seriously without turning them into a culture-war argument. Instead, it goes back to Scripture and asks a simpler question: What has God actually revealed about Himself?

This book explores what the Bible teaches about God's nature, gender, identity, Fatherhood, the Son, the Holy Spirit, biblical language, and the image of God. It examines the difference between saying that God transcends human biology and claiming that Scripture reveals God as nonbinary. It also considers the Bible's maternal imagery for God, the language used for the Holy Spirit, and what Genesis 1:27 really means when it says that humanity was created in God's image.

Most importantly, this is not a book about forcing God into either an ancient category or a modern one. It is an invitation to let Scripture speak on its own terms.

You will discover why God is spirit and is not a biological human being, why Scripture consistently reveals God as Father, why Jesus Christ matters to the question, and why masculine and feminine imagery in Scripture should be understood carefully rather than turned into a simplistic gender formula.

Along the way, Is God Nonbinary? addresses a deeper question that reaches beyond terminology:

Can we allow God to tell us who He is, even when His revelation does not fit neatly into the categories we have created?

Written for Christians who want thoughtful answers without hostility, Is God Nonbinary? is especially relevant for a generation navigating questions about gender identity, Christianity, the Bible, faith, culture, and what it means to know God in a changing world.

You do not have to be afraid of difficult questions. You do not have to surrender Scripture to answer them. And you do not have to pretend that God has told us everything about Himself.

God has not told us everything about Himself, but everything He has told us is true.

The goal is not merely to win an argument about a word. The goal is to return to Scripture, look more carefully at the God it reveals, and ultimately see the One who came to make the Father known: Jesus Christ.

This book is written in great detail and from an interesting perspective. It asks a good question but in another book a different but related question needs to be answered - Does Biblical Scripture even recognize any genders other than male & female? And if not are there answers within it's pages for those who are confused?
