About this ebook

1906

Beth Tremayne has always been drawn to adventure. During her childhood, she fed that desire by exploring every inch of the Isles of Scilly. Now, after stumbling across an old collection of letters and a map buried on her family's property, she's found more adventure than she ever anticipated in the hunt for pirate treasure. But in order to discover where the clues lead, she must search alongside Lord Sheridan, a man she finds insufferable.

Sheridan has spent years pursuing whatever archaeological interests pique his imagination. And when he discovers that Beth's search connects with one of his far-removed pirate ancestors, he can't help getting involved. Plus, he finds her irresistible, even though she insists he stole a prized possession of hers.

As they work together following different clues and drawing closer to danger, they start to piece together a story of tragic love and piratical adventure. But which treasure will bring the greatest surprise--the one they find in each other or the one just out of their reach?

A most beautiful cover for this book in the series The Secrets of the Isles. As always White has written a book with very strong and believable characters. You will love her characters, the history, the locations and the circumstances she writes about. In this second book we visit the same place with most of the same characters from book one. A bit of suspense and mystery along with romance makes it an interesting read…..I reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

To Treasure an Heiress picks up right where The Nature of a Lady left off, with Beth and company continuing the search for the pirate prince’s treasure. Though still angry with Sheridan over her trinket box (see previous book), he continues to be her only real ally in the search for the treasure. I enjoyed watching Beth go from verbally sparring with Sheridan one moment, to asking him to go treasure hunting the next. Beth was a very relatable character to me because of how she got swept up in the story and the romance of the legend, to the point of possibly ignoring a little bit of common sense because she likes the story better. Sheridan was adorable! Oh my goodness. I loved his awkward nerdiness in the first book, but getting to know him from his own point of view (and Beth’s) was even more enjoyable. His inner dialogue and narration with himself, planning his pursuit of Beth (or her pursuit of him), and when he’d speak out loud after having most of the conversation with himself...there were so many good moments! My two favorite scenes between the two of them both took place in the library. One because it was swoon-worthy, the other because it was hilarious. I can’t write them here, because spoilers, but I hope you enjoy them when you get to it. As always, the secondary characters were tremendous. I loved Sonara’s story, and Sheridan’s valet was a jewel! And then there’s Sheridan’s sisters, who are a force to be reckoned with. I honestly don’t think Roseanna White can write a boring character! I hope you enjoy To Treasure an Heiress as much as I did. I received an advanced copy of this book for reviewing purposes. All opinions expressed are my own.

Pirate gold, ancient ruins, mysterious folklore, dastardly villains, an adoring hero, and a treasure hunt are all combined into one enchanting book that I absolutely adored. The treasure hunt continues in To Treasure an Heiress, which is the second installment in The Secrets of the Isles series by Roseanna M. White. I thought the first book was excellent and I loved it, but I think I enjoyed this second book even more! Lord Sheridan is the hero of the tale and is intellectual yet hilarious with a wonderfully entertaining personality. Oh, how I laughed out loud while reading because of Lord Sheridan’s sense of humor! Better yet, he adores the heroine Beth Tremayne and is so protective of her that it makes you want to swoon! The book’s plot is action-packed with plenty of rescues and mysteries to keep the reader riveted until the very end. I wholeheartedly give this amazing book five stars, and I cannot wait for the next installment in the series! I received a copy of this book from the publisher for promotion purposes. My review is honest and reflects my own thoughts. I really did love it!
