About this ebook

Complete and unabridged, with 32 full-page plates by Alfred Worthington, Joseph Heard and Edwin Hayes. A Cambridge don and his ward follow a two-thousand-year-old shard of pottery into the interior of Africa, to a people who obey a veiled woman whom nobody has ever seen die. The caves of Kor are one of the great inventions of adventure fiction. Thirty-two plates, among them Hastings fishermen and the wreck of the Mexico, carry the sea and shipwreck weather of the tale.
