About this ebook

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

"A haunting, beautiful, and necessary book."—Nicola Yoon, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Everything, Everything

Charlotte Davis is in pieces. At seventeen she’s already lost more than most people do in a lifetime. But she’s learned how to forget. The broken glass washes away the sorrow until there is nothing but calm. You don’t have to think about your father and the river. Your best friend, who is gone forever. Or your mother, who has nothing left to give you.

Every new scar hardens Charlie’s heart just a little more, yet it still hurts so much. It hurts enough to not care anymore, which is sometimes what has to happen before you can find your way back from the edge.

A deeply moving portrait of a girl in a world that owes her nothing, and has taken so much, and the journey she undergoes to put herself back together. Kathleen Glasgow's debut is heartbreakingly real and unflinchingly honest. It’s a story you won’t be able to look away from.

And don’t miss Kathleen Glasgow's novels You’d Be Home Now and How to Make Friends with the Dark, both raw and powerful stories of life.

so this is definitely a good book. but NOT for me. I read this because my parents wanted me to be more "adult" I read this when I was 10... I'm sure if I read it later in life I would have liked it more, but it really just made me feel really uncomfortable in the end and it freaked me out. I have the physical copy and gave it to my older sister and she seemed to like it. this is a good book with an amazingly written plot and story just not my kinda thing. BYEEE!!!

It was a really good book, I’ll admit but I I was only able to get through I think 100 pages. I’m not sure if this is just me having a low attention span but I lost interest really quickly. Obviously everyone is going to look at this book differently and personally I’m indifferent, but I would still give it a read since it does have a great message.

It was really good kept me hooked. I will say it was probably my least favorite from the series (How to make friends in the dark and You'd be home by now). It was very heartbreaking and sad. There were parts were I wished she wasn't going through that stuff. But honestly I loved her and I wished we saw her and Riley more. CHECK TW
