Murder in the Treasury
About this ebook
A fallen stronghold.
A slaughtered treasurer.
A stolen fortune that could destroy Cyprus' Knights Templar forever.
June 1291, following the catastrophic Fall of Acre, the surviving Knights Templar gather at their preceptory in Limassol, Cyprus to rebuild their shattered Order. But that sanctuary is shattered when the Templar Treasurer is discovered brutally murdered in the castle vault, his sentry slain and thousands of gold bezants vanished without a trace.
With suspicion mounting on all sides, two unlikely allies step forward to uncover the truth: Oliver, a former Templar knight who was cast out under a cloud of suspicion, and Sir Baldwin de Furnshill, a battle-scarred 19-year-old English knight haunted by the horrors of Acre.
As violent civil unrest erupts across Cyprus and deadly conspiracy festers within the preceptory walls, the danger creeps closer to their door – can they untangle the labyrinth of greed and betrayal before the murderer looks to them for his next victim?
