After the fall of Bhishma, Dronacharya became the commander of the Kaurava army. Duryodhana realized that killing Yudhishthira would only enrage the Pandavas, making them fight with greater fury. Instead, he devised a plan to capture Yudhishthira alive, hoping to force the Pandavas into surrender or another game of dice.
