This book is disjointed, disorganised and confused. I have read numerous books by the author and this is such poor writing, I am seriously unsure whether this is even written by her. There is no storyline as to how how main Character finds out who the murderer is. Her partner in Crime Liam comes out of nowhere. also numerous time we have situations where within a page of the book the author repeats or says something completely different about the same situation. pooches egg turnedvin scrambled eggs. its a little thing but little things are massively important for quality writing. Give this book a miss.

The whole story was a bit sappy with the repeated reference to " knitting things together" and other knitting terms interspersed through just about every paragraph. The detectives part was not well fleshed out, too many gaps in what is protocol in a true murder investigation. The fact that Hazel just took up with this heretofore unknown person Liam and went off alone with him to walk in the garden, question people, follow Carlos to the bar etc just not very believable. These two characters being more heavily fleshed out would have made this book more enjoyable.

Having read so many other cozy mysteries by Fiona Grace, this was a major let down. By the end of the 1st chapter I was so tired of the constant knitting puns, that I felt my eyeballs strained from rolling my eyes. OVERKILL. Sorry Fiona, the story was okay, but could have been better if you hadn't attempted filling pages with puns instead of making your characters a bit more interesting and 3 dimensional. I won't be going further with this series.
