About the author
Dr Raman Kumar is Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, I K Gujral Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, India. Formerly, he was Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at D A V Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jalandhar, India. Before his current post, he did his Bachelor of Technology with Honours in Computer Science and Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India (a 5 Star National Assessment and Accreditation Council University), his Master of Technology with Honours in Computer Science and Engineering from the same institution, and his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, achieving an A Grade (Ministry of Human Resource Development). His major areas of research are artificial intelligence, machine learning, cryptography, security engineering and information security. He has published numerous books, such as Fundamentals of Computer Programming and Information Technology, Recent Advances in Computational Intelligence, Applications in Ubiquitous Computing. He has published many papers in refereed journals, conference proceedings, books and book chapters on his research area.
