About this ebook

I gave her a black eye the first time we met. She swore she’d never date me. And now I’m falling for the one woman determined never to fall for anyone.

In my defense, it was a badly timed door. McKenna Cannon doesn’t care.

One wedding, one accidental black eye, and one furious bridesmaid later, I’ve made an impression she definitely won’t forget.

She’s sharp, stubborn, gorgeous—and completely opposed to romance. I’m a hotshot firefighter. I know better than to play with fire. Apparently, I’m doing it anyway.

McKenna wants to keep things casual. No expectations, no promises. Definitely no falling in love. I fall first and hard.

The more time I spend with her, the more I want to prove we are worth it. That not everyone will hurt her. That she deserves someone who stands beside her when life gets messy, someone who chooses her every single time.

She may have sworn she’d never fall. Good thing I’m patient.

This was an emotional, well written story and ticked numerous boxes for me. I fell hard and fast for Jack, he was such a protective and caring man, totally swoon worthy and I really liked McKenna. McKenna had no plans to ever marry but Jack is determined to change her mind. Their journey was not without its issues, with some ups and downs but it was worth it in the end. One More Time was a good addition to the Fireweed Harbor series.

Jack and Mackenna meet on a ferry. He opened a door and she collided withbit getting a black eye from it. Something to talk and laugh about in years to come...if they were to be a couple. They share negative thoughts and feelings about relationships and children, but for different reasons. Their experiences have each left a mark, but if they are prepared to bend a little, they will be able to have what they each want..more than a benefits arrangement and become a loving couple. The present and the future may be scarred by the past, but it also has its promise. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
