True Mates: Carol's Mate

As Carol and Mark prepare to celebrate the holiday with their pack, memories of the past remind Carol how unlikely their happily-ever-after seemed.

Once, she had everything planned. Finish her studies, do her internship, and return to Refuge to help run the medical center being built by her alphas. When the time was right, she’d choose a male from her pack to mate with, push out a few pups, and life would continue—nice, neat, and orderly, just the way she liked it.

Then she met Mark Johnson.

Sexy, handsome…and human. Forbidden. A man who wouldn’t take no for an answer. He stirred her senses and even had her wolf sitting up and paying attention.

Now, with Christmas all around her and their first child on the way, Carol can look back at the choices that brought her and Mark together and give thanks for the greatest gift of all—the family she never planned but was always meant to have.
