My family will tell you that I’ve got a quick temper. They weren’t wrong. Not only will I cop to the hair-trigger. It’s likely what spurred the brutal attack that nearly took my life. But it was during those months I spent in the hospital that I came to the realization that I’d been given a second chance and it was high time I started moving forward, rather than looking back.

When V and I get together, smoke detectors go haywire, but when we add my best friend, Beau, to the equation, extra fire extinguishers are needed. 

Although we’re good at burning up the sheets, I want more. In fact, I want it all. The question is: can I get V to open her heart and let me in? Or will I have to indulge her misguided efforts to protect me and let her walk away?
