Log Me Tender: a novel

- - -

Children’s book illustrator Penelope Shaw has mastered the art of making hunger look cute—until someone offers to feed her for real…

Finally! Penelope’s crush invited her to dinner at Mugen, an impossible-to-book omakase restaurant where “infinity meets intention.” She arrives expecting romance to bloom, and also to get inspired for her illustrations of culinary delights.

But when she arrives, what actually greets her are tales of Helena Devereux—an enchanting and sensual patron of the arts whose gatherings promise infinite inspiration and belonging.

The problem? This patron demands more than just your art.

As Helena’s web of obsession wraps tighter around Penelope, the sanitized becomes savage. Mundane acts transform into binding curses. Ancient and ravenous, Helena’s coterie threatens to harvest Penelope.

Will Penelope escape, or will she become another prey in Helena’s collection?

*A lush, modern fairy tale for grown-ups about the stories we keep telling ourselves, the hunger we inherit, and what it really means to feed yourself.
