After a surveyor returns from the frozen wilderness carrying an unknown crystalline contamination, the station becomes a prison. The infection does not kill—it transforms. Human tissue hardens into an alien mineral structure, body temperature falls beyond survivable limits, and those infected begin to hear a silent call hidden within the storm.
Cut off from the outside world, Douglas and the remaining crew must survive against an intelligence that has awakened beneath the ancient ice after thousands of years. As the freezing darkness spreads across the polar landscape, they discover the storm is not a natural disaster—it is the first wave of an extinction event designed to reshape life on Earth.
In a world where warmth is the last defense against an unstoppable evolution, survival may demand becoming the very thing they fear most.
