About this ebook

Love remembers by continuing.

Terenos has spent years studying AXION, the Thread, and the Garden from a safe distance, believing that knowledge could protect him from what memory demands. But when Thalia—the woman he loved—vanishes into the forest, study is no longer enough.

Following her into the Garden, Terenos encounters the Child and discovers that the Flame does more than preserve what has been lost. It keeps choosing. It keeps inviting. It asks the living to move forward without abandoning those they carry within them.

But Terenos has built a beautiful shelter around his grief. To find Thalia, he must confront the possibility that preserving the past can become another form of refusal—and answer the question at the heart of his journey:

Can love remain faithful to what was without refusing what may still become?

Where the Flame Walks is Book III of The Worlds That Remember, following The Flame Beyond Time and Where the Lost One Went. A luminous novel of memory, grief, freedom, ordinary mercy, and the dignity of choosing again, it may also be read as a complete story on its own.

Love is not finished.

Remembrance is how love walks forward.

May the Flame walk with you.

About the author

William G. Boundroukas is an Illinois attorney and author whose work explores responsibility, faith, family, memory, endurance, and the quiet obligations people carry when life does not offer easy answers.

After more than three decades practicing law, Boundroukas began publishing fiction, poetry, and practical nonfiction drawn from the worlds he knows best: professional responsibility, family life, caregiving, loss, faith, and the experience of continuing when stopping is not an option.

His books include literary and Christian fiction, the speculative series The Worlds That Remember, the Still Functioning books, and poetry collections including Still Standing and By What It Does. Though his books move across different genres, they return to a common question: what does it mean to remain present, responsible, and loving when circumstances cannot simply be fixed?

Boundroukas lives and works in the Chicago area. His writing is shaped by his Greek-American background, Orthodox Christian faith, legal career, and life as a husband and father.

He writes not primarily to provide answers, but to recognize the people who continue to carry, witness, love, and stay.
