About this ebook

He’s the NHL’s most controlled bad boy. She’s the crisis manager hired to keep him out of trouble. Falling for each other was never part of the plan.

Cole Mercer knows exactly how the world sees him: talented, reckless, and one headline away from becoming a problem his team can’t afford.

Sloane Bennett is the woman they call when reputations are on fire. Smart, ambitious, and relentlessly composed, she has one rule she refuses to break: never let a client become personal.

Then Cole becomes her biggest assignment.

Behind the headlines, Sloane discovers a man far more complicated than the reputation she was hired to repair. And Cole quickly realizes the woman managing his image may be the first person in years who actually sees him.

Professional boundaries turn into stolen moments.

Friction turns into attraction.

And attraction becomes something neither of them can control.

But with the playoffs approaching, Sloane’s career on the verge of changing forever, and their relationship capable of becoming the next headline, wanting each other could cost them everything they’ve worked for.

I really enjoyed this book. The story is engaging from the beginning, with great chemistry between the characters and a good balance of romance, tension, and emotion. The hockey setting adds an extra layer that makes the story even more enjoyable. The characters feel believable, and I found myself wanting to keep reading to see how their relationship would develop. A fun and entertaining romance that I would definitely recommend to fans of hockey romance.
